Finding Yourself

Imagine this- waking up in the morning, grabbing your cup of coffee, taking that first sip and feeling calm and energized all at the same time;

From head to toe- you feel at peace and there is a gentle smile growing from inside. What a feeling this is!

That is the feeling of connection to self; that space where you know exactly who you are and how you fit into the world. You mind wanders to the wonders of the upcoming day and how you will relate to your family and your work and you feel happy. You feel in control and that feels good!

And for that moment you understand what it means to truly trust yourself and your guidance.

And then the work day begins with all the demands that come from your work. However, right now there are more than the daily work tasks that hound you, there are all the family tasks and members all beckoning for your attention. And as the day wears on, It becomes hard to recall the feelings of peace and control from those seemingly lost savored moments for self.

You change who you are at least a million times during the day as you are a practiced chameleon who can fit in and shift who you are to please the circumstance or person who needs pleasing. And yet at the back of your mind- that calm and happy you still lingers and beckons.

She is asking for more than coffee moments, she wants to be with you all day- she whispers that it is time for you to take back your sovereignty, To peel back what is keeping you from fully expressing yourself and your identity.

She wants you to step into fully being you.

What would it look and feel like to own your full identity?

Just take a moment and imagine.
